Crispy Kale Chips with Lemon (8/21/16)
2 - bunches of fresh kale, stemmed and torn into bite size pieces
Extra virgin olive oil
Real Sea Salt
1 - Lemon
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place the Kale in a large bowl and dress very lightly with olive oil so the leaves are barely coated. Season with Real Sea Salt. Spread the leaves out across 2 cookie sheet trays so they aren't stacked up on each other too much. Roast in the oven until crispy but still green, 12 - 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and dress with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a touch of crushed red pepper flakes. Enjoy!!!
Prep: 5 Min.
Cook: 15 Min.
4 cups of chopped Kale w/stems removed 1/4 Cup of pure lemon juice
1/2 cup of pine nuts or cashews 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup of olive oil salt and pepper to taste
In a large bowl...Mix kale with oil and massage until kale turns a dark green, add lemon juice and mix well. Add the salt, pepper,
nuts and cheese. You can enjoy this recipe as is...However I like to take some cubed chicken breast, sautéed with Monterey chicken seasoning, salt, pepper, garlicand lemon juice (to your taste, I like lots!!) Toss the chicken on top of the salad, hot out of the pan, and get prepared for a mouth watering feast!!!

This page is something we are going to test for a while. We will try to list one or two new recipes each month. The recipes we list, will be recipes that we have been using ourselves to loose weight and affect the alkalinity of our bodies. The chart below lists many different fruits, vegetables and some oils, and lets you know how acidic or alkaline each is. Nan and I have many alkaline recipes based on this food chart. It has been very useful in establishing what foods we want and like to eat. We hope you too, will find it useful.
